Two men charged after assault in Derry

first_img Police in Derry have today charged two men in connection with an assault in the Ebrington Street area of the city in the early hours of yesterday morning.Three masked men assaulted the victim with hammers and bats shortly after 2am.The man was treated in hospital for serious head and facial injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.The two men arrested, aged 26 and 41, have been charged with aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.They are due to appear in Derry Magistrates Court tomorrow.
