SWIMMING: SWILLY SEALS’ UNBEATEN RUN COMES TO AN END

first_imgThe Swilly Seals travelled to Downpatrick on Saturday last to take on Lecale A.S.C. The Seals had been on a roll having not been defeated in their last 12 meets. This competition was very close and competitive throughout with both teams equal on points after the medley relays. The individual races saw both teams share wins and in the freestyle relays the seals were more dominant. This being the first loss in almost three seasons the swilly seals swimmers can take great pride in the way they fought for every point. There was excellent swims across the board with massive personal best times achieved. In the end the Co Down club edged it with a very fine margin of 582 to 562. A big thanks to all the parents and coaches that travelled and helped out with timekeeping and organization. a big thank you also to Lecale for their usual warm welcome and hospitality. The next Provincial Towns meet is away to Newry and Mourne on 23rd January. Some swimmers are in action again this Sunday in Newry for the Swim Ulster Development Meet series meet one.SWIMMING: SWILLY SEALS’ UNBEATEN RUN COMES TO AN END was last modified: November 23rd, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:donegalletterkennySwilly Sealslast_img
