first_img1 Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain Manchester United are set to rekindle their interest in Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports in Italy. The Argentina striker has been on United’s radar in the past but it appeared as though Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool had moved ahead of them in the queue to sign him.But now, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Trafford club are considering a summer move for the forward as they bid to revitalise their squad ahead of next season. The report even suggests that Napoli and Manchester United have discussed potential terms on a deal for Higuain, who has hit an incredible 27 goals in 29 Serie A appearances this season.United, meanwhile, have struggled badly in front of goal, with none of their players managing double figures in the league all season.Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial have scored seven each with Jesse Lingard, who has got four, the next highest scorer. So United reportedly reckon Higuain could be the man to provide some much needed extra fire power next term.last_img
