first_imgManchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has heaped praise on Sergio Aguero after his four goals saw off Tottenham and believes he will be one of the best players in the world this season.The Argentine striker endured an injury hit campaign in the Blues’ Premier League title winning season last time out, but still managed 17 goals in just 23 appearances.City have eased the 26-year-old into action this season and it paid dividends against Spurs as Aguero started and ran riot, scoring all of the host’s strikes to become the the Blues’ leading Premier League goalscorer.And a delighted Pellegrini said: “I said before this game and now that in Sergio we have one of the three or four best strikers in the world.“It’s not easy for him when he had so many injuries in the last part of the season to perform like he did today. But I think this year we prepared him very well.“In the first three games he didn’t start, he was just involved for 30 or 40 minutes but now he’s 100 per cent fit and he’s working the whole week as normal.“He decided the first title here with Manchester City, last year he was very important when he was fit and I hope this year he will fight to be one of the best players in the world.”last_img
