To that end, the Newhall Coffee Roasting Co., tucked in a corner of the Valencia Industrial Center, will send six tons of coffee Wednesday to the troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. The load translates to 1.28 million cups of coffee for servicemen and -women deployed across the Middle East. “We first sent coffee to Iraq in May of 2003 and the response from Marines was overwhelming,” said Mitch McMullen, the company’s co-founder. “We sent only 50,000 cups then, and we are now sending over a million cups of coffee to show our support to the troops.” last_img
