The samples will feature a wide range of art categories including sketching, water colour painting, craft posters, pop-up card, lettering and demonstration of craft paper.Head of the Japanese Art Team, Akiko Paketsuru, in reflecting on the quality of the exhibition, says “I feel joyful that the teachers will have a gift their future pupils”.The exhibition begins at 10:00 am with a short ceremony at which DSC officials will make brief remarks, and current head of the Japanese team Ms. Akiko Paketsuru will make very brief comments about the exhibits and present tokens of recognition to deserving students.The exhibition culminates 39 hours of instruction by a team of Japanese art professionals. Various Japanese teams have assisted the College in the teaching of Art from September 2002. This art programme is a requirement for graduation for students pursuing the DSC Associate Degree in Primary Education.Dean of the Faculty of Education, Merrill J. Matthew, noting the outcome of the programme says, “The Art Programme adds tremendous value to the quality of the training the College provides for our primary school teachers”.The entire College community congratulates the students on their achievement and encourages the public to come to view the exhibition on Monday, 25th June, 2012 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Bath Estate Campus.Press Releaselast_img
