We’re almost as excited to share this with you as we are to indulge in this dessert surrounded by friends and family over this holiday season. Enjoy!Wolf Family Apple Crisp Recipe8 servings5 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices1 tsp ground cinnamon1 tsp grated nutmeg1/2 cup water3/4 cup all purpose flour8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, sliced1/2 cup granulated sugar1/2 cup packed light brown sugarheavy cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)Toss apple slices with cinnamon and nutmeg. Turn into casserole and sprinkle with water. Combine flour, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Cut butter into it until the crumbs are the size of peas. Crumble over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Serve with ice cream or heavy whipped cream if desired.
